Collection contains official papers and letters of credit carried by Masters as supercargo on the brig, MARIA, during a voyage to the Mediterranean, 1801; a charge against the MARIA drawn by Don Manuel de Medina y Jimenez, concerning an encounter with the Spanish corsair Felucca Esperanza; and letters concerning sugar cane planting and trade in the Danish West Indies, 1825, and a trip through the southern United States, 1840.
